If anyone is for sure interested in gettin another Shame On Ice 3rd jersey, sent me an email with the particulars (size, name, number) and I’ll start a list. We need at least 6 to do a reorder.
I can’t wait to see these in the penalty box!!

Apparently the Shame on Ice Flickr group still needs to be approved/cleared by Yahoo and you can’t see the photos there unless you are a Flickr member and logged in. So until that clears, if you want, either:

So the Second Annual TOOHFBYSONIC has come and gone. Are you as worn out as I am? I want to thank everyone for coming out and joining the ridiculous people that come up with and help put on events like this. You are all enablers!
I hope you had as much fun as I did and that your Pond Hockey dreams came true! Mine did, the new Shame On Ice 3rd Jerseys looked awesome on the ice and made it through the day with a perfect record!!
Of course it was 0-4 but that is still a perfect record!
BTW, Mr Pat Sir, that was a great shot! Bank the puck off my hand (about waist high) and right in for that game winning goal to seal the perfect day! You’ll have to teach me that one sometime!
Shame On
(Nice job Mucker)
Nice job Mucker and everyone involved with pulling off another great Shame on Ice event. Thanks for the time and effort. It was a blast!

The 2nd Annual Shame on Ice Pond Hockey Tournament
is Saturday, January 28th.
Puck drops at Noon.
(Map for Garden City Park and post hockey Broadway Pizza.)
The Teams:
Games will be played from Noon to 2:30pm
I really enjoy walking across the parking lot of Lake Nokomis as U.S. Pond hockey championship games are being played. You can hear chatter, sticks and skates echoing from hundreds of yards away. That is a great sound. I also like the sound of a vulcanized rubber disc hitting the back of the box made up of two by fours.
I like that sound in moderation.
Back in January of 2006, during the original U.S. Pond hockey championships on Lake Calhoun, Shame on Ice had to field a team. Grumpy, Sheriff, Barbarian, Scooter, Slick and Mucker went to the skaters tent and sat on hay bales to get prepared. I glanced down to see Tom Chorske lacing up his skates, I knew I was in big trouble.
During our first game, during that inaugural championships, losing 11-7 might have given us a false sense of security, like we could actually skate with these guys.
Game two was a little different. And for the 6 years since, We would often tell a story, it went a little like this…..
“You know, Shame on Ice played in the original U.S. Pond Hockey championships on Lake Calhoun, and unfortunately we lost a game twenty six to two. But we like to say, when we cut the lead to eighteen to one, the crowd went nuts”
Fast forward to last Saturday, January 21st, 2012 at 9:45am.
“What’s the score ref?” Mucker hollered at half-time.
“Fourteen to One!” The ref said, almost apologetically
We had one spectator, original Shamer, Slick
“I’m not sure about this Slick” Mucker pivoted from his fold-out chair just over the boards of rink 21
“Not looking good” Slick belly laughs.
‘Thud’
‘Thud’
‘Thud’….
The second half did not improve.
Well, at least I will get to tell a new story about 2012, 32-2.
All in a 30 minute game.
“You could set your watch to these guys” Will be the new punch line.
Shame on ! – Mucker
Shame On Ice photos from downtown St. Paul outdoor hockey. Including a preview of the new third (orange) jerseys! Nice job on the jerseys, Grumpy. They’re awesome.
If anyone else has photos from the St. Paul skates they may like to have posted on the site please email them to me and we can put a selection of them up. sgeiger30@me.com
